Shaira Chaer is an artist and researcher born and raised on unceded Lenape land in the Bronx, New York. Their creative practices are informed by blending the living archive, spirituality, autoethnography, queer radical futurity and the wisdom of their ancestors across Kiskeya-Ayiti and Bilad Al-Sham. Chaer’s work has been showcased at Photoville, SXSW, The Old Stone House, Tafaria Castle & Centre for the Arts, Andrew Freedman Home, Bronx Arts Space, Remezcla, Vibe Magazine and more. She currently serves as Associate Director of Narrative Intelligence at ReFrame.
