Carl Davidson

A leader and writer of the 60s New Left, Carl Davidson was a national secretary of SDS 1966-68 in its peak years. He went on to write for The Guardian newsweekly, the weekly Call of the OL/CPML, and Unity of the LRS.

He currently writes for the editor LeftLinks newsweekly and is the founder of the Online University of the Left. He is a member of Liberation Road, CCSS, and DSA, and is an editor of New Studies on the Left. He lived in New York and Chicago for many years, but in 2008, he returned to the milltown where he was born in 1943, Aliquippa, in the blue-collar reality of Beaver County, Western PA.
