Marcy Rein
Marcy Rein is a writer, editor and organizer who has engaged with a wide range of social movements and organizational forms. She worked for the International Longshore and Warehouse Union for 10 years, writing for its newspaper and serving as the communications specialist for its organizing department. Her history with movement media began as a collective member for the radical feminist journal Off Our Backs. Most recently, she has been a member of the editorial board for Convergence Magazine and served as its volunteer print editor for five years. She co-authored Free City: The Fight for San Francisco’s City College and Education for All (aff) with Mickey Ellinger and Vicki Legion (PM Press, 2021) and co-edited Until the Rulers Obey: Voices From Latin American Social Movements (aff) with Clifton Ross (PM Press, 2014).
