Jill Heggen (she/her) is the Communications Director at the Women’s Fund of Omaha and Communications Co-Chair for the Paid Sick Leave for Nebraskans ballot initiative. Born and raised in the Midwest, she is passionate about gender equity and uplifting language as a tool to better understand and advance issues. Heggen’s past work includes five years in public relations at a local advertising agency, serving as a communications director at a liberal arts college and working in development for a public television station in Kansas.
