David A. Love
David A. Love is a writer, commentator and journalism and media studies professor based in Philadelphia. He contributes to theGrio, Al Jazeera, CNN Opinion, The Appeal, The Progressive and other publications, and writes on politics, race, human rights, inequality, climate and criminal justice. Love is also a contributor to the book Four Hundred Souls: A Community History of African America, 1619-2019 (edited by Ibram X. Kendi and Keisha N. Blain). He is the former executive director of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus, and of Witness to Innocence. Love received a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Harvard University, a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a certificate in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford.
