RSVP: Surround Sound Communications With Ritti Singh
Convergence members are invited to join us on Wednesday, July 29 at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific for Surround Sound Communications with Ritti Singh. This hands-on skillbuilding workshop is a special follow-up to her recent article, “Surround Sound Communications: How to Build a Narrative Machine,” which explains how New York City tenant organizations came together to make “freeze the rent” a rallying cry that helped elect a mayor.
Surround sound communications is how we build the infrastructure to make the left’s message everywhere at once to match the right’s narrative machine. In this training, we’ll look at case studies from the right and the left that didn’t just win policy fights but shifted the conversation altogether. We’ll learn the map, seed, echo, invite framework: how to find the trusted networks where people already talk, seed your story there, echo it from multiple directions, and invite people into the organizing itself. Then we’ll practice applying it to where you organize.
This training isn’t just for comms staff: it’s for any organizer seeking to shift the narrative.
This training is only available to members as a special benefit, so if you aren’t yet a member, become one today; memberships start at just $5/month. The proceeds benefit Convergence Magazine’s independent movement media and gives you access to special events and other features like this one! During our 2026 summer membership drive, new members also get a special thank you gift: a limited-edition t-shirt from Bread & Water Print Shop.
