Jesse Graham, native to Maine, joined the staff of Maine People’s Alliance in 1999 and has served the organization in the roles of door-to-door Canvass Director, Community Organizer, Associate Director, Executive Director for 10 years and (since 2018) Co-Director. Jesse’s tenure at MPA has coincided with dramatic increases in scale and depth of the organization’s community organizing and leadership development programs, and a quadrupling of the organization’s staff and budget. Jesse has also overseen MPA’s longest-running campaign, an effort to organize local residents along the Penobscot River to hold Mallinckrodt, Inc. accountable for mercury pollution. The campaign began 1999 and secured a historic legal victory in 2022.
