One of the saddest things about the state of science fiction is the prevailing consensus among many of its producers that the future is in white people. Of course, a simple knowledge of demographic trends undermines any such assumption under any circumstances other than outright genocide in the near future, but that does not stop the unconscious reproduction of whiteness in even the best works of science fiction….
