They are women who make it possible for our parents and grandparents to stay in their homes and live independent lives, and last week nearly 1,500 of them received token justice after years of exploitation and abuse. The woman, many of them African-American, Latino, Asian and Haitian, won a landmark $1 million class-action settlement against the McMillan’s Home Care Agency which the suit charged had long been cheating them out of overtime pay.
